Dear Students,
Changes in health care services, globalization, developments in science and technology necessitate qualified nursing and midwifery education that can provide care based on scientific basis. As the Faculty, we aim to educate nurses and midwives who aim at the protection and realization of the health of the individual, family and society, are sensitive to innovation and changes, serve at the level of professional standards, improve their professional careers by taking roles and responsibilities in education, management and research, and adopt lifelong learning as a principle. We learn.
Our faculty has started its academic activities in 1997 as the School of Health. Since the Spring Semester of 2012-2013 Academic Year, Master's and Doctoral programs with thesis are carried out in the Department of Nursing. As of 2016-2017 Academic Year Fall Semester, the Master's Program in Nursing has started. The School of Health has been continuing its academic activities as the Faculty of Health Sciences since 8 April 2016.
I would like to address the first year students who joined us this year,
I congratulate you on your step into the profession of Nursing and Midwifery, which is sacred and honorable, and welcome you to our Faculty. Our aim is to be a good nurse and midwife who will be proud of, who do the right thing, not the easy one, and who have adopted philosophy of lifelong learning.
