Prof.Dr.Dilek AYGİN
BACKGROUND
She graduated from Istanbul University Florence Nightingale School of Nursing in 1991. She completed her master's degree at Istanbul University Institute of Health Sciences, Department of Surgical Nursing, in 1994 and her doctorate degree at Marmara University Institute of Health Sciences, Department of Surgical Nursing, in 2005. Between 1991 and 1994, she worked as a nurse at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation. Since 1994, she has been serving at Sakarya University. She received the title of Associate Professor in 2013 and a Professorship in 2019 in the field of Surgical Diseases Nursing.
She has participated in external and BAP projects as an executive and researcher. One of them is the "VAW/56- There Is A Safe Life!"/There Is A Safe Life!" project funded by the European Union in 2016, in which she was the Project Manager on behalf of the Rectorate of Sakarya University.
She specializes in surgical nursing, oncology nursing, breast cancer nursing, sexuality, and intensive care nursing. She has many international and national publications, book chapters, books, projects, and awards. Aygin, who has given many master's and doctorate graduates, continues to provide master's and doctorate consultancy. Some of her awards are the Scientific Publication Award and Award in the Field of Health Sciences by Sakarya University Award Evaluation Supreme Board in 2011 and 2013. By the Executive Committee of Sakarya University Science, Art, and Young Scientist Awards, she was awarded the First Prize in the Field of Health Sciences in the category of Periodic Achievement Awards in 2019 and the Second Prize in the Field of Health Sciences in the category of Science/Art Awards in 2020.
She is married and has two children.
